Hi-Flyers: All About The Wholesale Balloon Experts

Here at Hi-Flyers, we have been in the balloon business for over 50 years. We started out as vendors selling balloons at fairs, markets, community festivals (and being based in Scotland, the highland games, where our first ever day selling balloons was at Inverary Highland Games in 1968!).

We ran a balloon decorating business for a number of years, before moving on to become the wholesale and trade only business we are today. Now we supply balloon decorators, retailers, twisters, and vendors across the UK and abroad. Having spent so much time on the other side of the counter, and learning the balloon decorating business, (including 2 CBA’s) we believe this puts us in a great position to understand our customers’ requirements.

Balloony Uni

Training has always been an important part of our business outlook, and during more than twenty years in the wholesale business, we have been lucky enough to have welcomed some of the best balloon trainers from around the world. Robbie Furman from New York, Colin Stewart from Canada, Luc Bertrand from Belgium, Alberto Falcone from Italy, and the nearest thing to a rock star in the balloon business, Chris Adamo from Australia.

From much closer to home, we have been fortunate enough on many occasions to have hosted Colin Myles from Dundee (a past winner of UK balloon decorator of the year) pass on his expertise to our customer base. As well as Colin we have had many other top UK based instructors at Hi Flyers including Chris and Jacob from Amscan/Sempertex, Julie Dunham and Lucy Hennessy from Pioneer/Qualatex, Dom and Keith from Q-corner, and on many occasions the wonderfully talented Sue Bowler of BAPIA.

Location

Hi Flyers is located right by the lovely Glasgow Green, on the doorstep of the city centre, and only five minutes drive from the motorway network. We opened our cash & carry in 2001, before taking over the unit next door in 2016. Our extension allowed us to double our warehouse space, and to house the biggest range of balloons in the country.
